ABOUT ME
|
I am an actor, director, educator, and community-focused creator based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I earned my MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City/KC Rep Theatre’s program, which has been recognized by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the top 25 acting programs in the country. My work lives at the intersection of artistic practice, education, and community engagement. As an arts educator and theater professor, I’ve spent more than ten years designing and leading programs that empower underserved communities, especially young people. I’ve had the privilege of working with groups in many different settings, from correctional facilities and public schools to regional theaters. My teaching and directing have reached incarcerated individuals as well as high school and college students across Minneapolis. On stage, I’ve performed with the Guthrie Theatre, Playwright's Center, The Jungle Theatre, Ten Thousand Things Theatre, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company, American Players Theatre, and The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and many others across the country. I’ve also created and performed original work at the Twin Cities Horror Festival and the Minnesota Fringe Festival. Outside of theater, I am also a musician and have opened and played gigs with artists like Clairo, Snail Mail, and Empath. I believe in the transformative power of the arts to spark creativity, inspire social change, and build stronger, more connected communities. When I am not in rehearsal or the classroom, you can usually find me biking around the lakes, on the water, or working with my hands on something new. I’m always excited by new challenges, collaborative projects, and opportunities to inspire and uplift others through the arts. Let’s play! |
